As part of the Jashn-e-Azadi Gilgit-Baltistan celebrations, a spectacular Polo Cup Final was held today at the Shahi Polo Ground Skardu, organized by the Gilgit-Baltistan Sports Board (Baltistan Region), the District Administration Skardu, and the District Polo Association. The final match featured an intense contest between Skardu Inchan and Skardu Maqpoon. After a thrilling display of traditional polo, Skardu Inchan emerged victorious, defeating their rivals by three goals to two, and proudly claimed the Jashn-e-Azadi Polo Cup 2025. 👏 The Chief Guests of the closing ceremony were Mr. Kamal Khan, Commissioner Baltistan Division, and Mr. Hamza Murad, Deputy Commissioner Skardu. They were accompanied by Mr. Ehsan ul Haq, Assistant Commissioner Skardu, and Mr. Baqir Hussain, Assistant Director Sports Skardu. Before the polo final, spectators were treated to a series of tent pegging competitions, where: 🥇 Mr. Wazir Shakeel secured First Position, and 🥈 Mr. Agha Jafar claimed Second Position. In the closing ceremony, the distinguished guests presented trophies and awards to the winner and runner-up teams, appreciating their skill, sportsmanship, and dedication to promoting traditional sports in Gilgit-Baltistan. 🏅
