Alternatively, you can take a bus or hire a private car to reach Gilgit-Baltistan from major cities like Islamabad or Lahore. There are various private companies and Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO) running daily buses from Rawalpindi and Islamabad to Gilgit and other districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. One can also visit GB in personal transport via KKH, Babusar Pass & Shandur Pass.
