How to Get There • From Islamabad you can take a domestic flight to Skardu or Gilgit. • From Skardu or Gilgit, you can hire a jeep or take local transport to reach Astore. The journey from Gilgit to Astore takes about 4-5 hours by road. • From Islamabad, you can travel by road to Astore. The journey can take around 15-17 hours, depending on road conditions. • Once in Astore, you will need to hire a jeep to take you to Rama Meadows, which is the base point for visiting Rama Lake. The jeep ride from Astore to Rama Meadows takes about 2-3 hours.
