Bagrot valley
Bagrot valley is approximately 17 km from Gilgit Town. Alpine pastures shroud the valley slopes up to an altitude of nearly 5.000 m. The valley is bejeweled with Rakaposhi Peak in the northwest, Diran Peak in the northeast and Dubani peak in the East. The main source of livelihood of the locals is mixed mountain agriculture, heavily supplemented by cash income from commercial and public services.
