Gilgit: Heavy rainfall has triggered multiple landslides on the Karakoram Highway, forcing the closure of the road between Pattan and Bursin at several locations. The blockage has left a number of passengers and vehicles stranded on both sides of the highway.
According to initial reports, the landslides occurred following continuous rain in the region, causing debris and rocks to fall onto the highway and disrupt traffic flow. Authorities have advised travelers and tourists to avoid unnecessary travel on the affected section until the road is cleared.
