Gilgit-Baltistan Secretary of Tourism, Zamir Abbas, along with the entire staff of the Tourism Department and Managing Director of NATCO, Aziz Ahmed Jamali, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Pakistan’s national mountaineering heroes—Sirbaz Khan, Sajid Ali Sadpara, and Wajidullah Nagri—for their extraordinary accomplishments.
Sirbaz Khan made history by completing a successful alpine-style summit of Mount Kangchenjunga. With this feat, he has become the first Pakistani to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks without the use of supplemental oxygen—an exceptional milestone in the world of high-altitude mountaineering.
On May 10, 2025, another golden chapter was added to Pakistan’s mountaineering legacy when Sajid Ali Sadpara successfully summited Dhaulagiri (8,167 meters) without supplemental oxygen. At just 29 years of age, Sajid continues to bring pride to Pakistan with his remarkable strength, determination, and perseverance.
On May 20, 2025, Wajidullah Nagri achieved the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest (8,850 meters). Prior to this, he had also successfully climbed other formidable peaks including Broad Peak, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum-I, and Gasherbrum-II.
Tourism Secretary Zamir Abbas and MD NATCO Aziz Ahmed Jamali hailed these achievements as historic milestones that reflect the courage, resilience, and capability of Pakistani mountaineers on the global stage.
