Jashn-e-Baharan Polo Tournament 2025 Concludes in Gilgit-Baltistan with Spectacular Final The Jashn-e-Baharan Polo Tournament 2025 concluded in Gilgit-Baltistan with a thrilling final match, as Team Khanberi Diamer delivered a commanding performance to defeat Skardu with an impressive score of 10-1. The decisive victory at Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground secured Khanberi Diamer the coveted championship title. Jointly organized by the Tourism, Sports & Culture Department and the Pakistan Army, the tournament celebrated the spirit of Operation Banyanum Marsoos and aimed to promote cultural unity and regional pride through sport. This year’s tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from across Gilgit-Baltistan, drawing a wide array of teams and passionate spectators who gathered to support their favorites. The final match, held at the iconic Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground in Gilgit, showcased the remarkable skill and determination of both finalists. Ultimately, Team Khanberi clinched the trophy after a dominant display of teamwork and strategy. The Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah attended the event as chief guest, awarding trophies and medals to players from both teams. In his address, he praised the athletes for their outstanding performance and highlighted the importance of such events in fostering unity, resilience, and sportsmanship across the region. The Secretary Tourism, Sports & Culture Gilgit-Baltistan Mr. Zamir Abbas expressed special thanks to FCNA, the GB Sports Board, the GB Polo Association, security agencies, the media, and the district administration for the successful organization of the event. While congratulating the winning team, Khanbari, on their victory in the final match, he expressed hope that these brave teams from Gilgit-Baltistan will also bring glory to GB in the upcoming Shandur Polo Tournament 2025.
