Chorbat Valley
Chorbat Valley is a part of the Shyok river valley split between Pakistan-administered Gilgit-Baltistan and Indian-administered Ladakh. In Pakistan, it's located in Khaplu tehsil of Ghanche District, and in India, it's in Nubra tehsil of Leh district. Chorbat Valley runs from the edge of Khaplu to Chalunka village in Nubra. In the 18th century, the Khan of Chorbat moved his capital from Siksa (originally named "Chorbat") to Turtuk. These two villages, now in Pakistan and India, are the largest in the Chorbat region.
