Mehdiabad Valley, formerly known as Parkuta, is one of the most beautiful valleys in District Kharmang, Gilgit-Baltistan. The old name Parkuta was changed to Mehdiabad by Sheikh Hassan Mehdi on the occasion of the birth of Imam Mehdi (as) in 1982 to commemorate the birth of Imam Mehdi (as). Mehdiabad Valley is located 62 km east of Skardu city. The valley encompasses five famous areas: Serling, Doqbar, Mehdiabad Khas, Bedong, and Pandah Village.
