Preparations for Shandur Polo Festival 2026 Reviewed in High-Level Meeting
A high-level meeting regarding the preparations for the upcoming Shandur Polo Festival 2026 was held under the chairmanship of Sardar Asad Haroon. Known for his visionary leadership and strong administrative capabilities, Sardar Asad Haroon has consistently played a key role in promoting tourism across the country.
Addressing the meeting, the Secretary Tourism stated that the Shandur Festival is a unique international event held at the world’s highest polo ground, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to Shandur every year. He said the festival reflects Pakistan’s positive image and rich cultural heritage on the global stage.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on arrangements for transportation of players and horses, maintenance of the Shandur Road, provision of kits, accommodation, security, and other logistical matters. The Secretary Tourism directed all concerned departments to ensure that every arrangement is completed on time and according to international standards.
He further emphasized that all departments must fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, leaving no room for negligence. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Sardar Asad Haroon stated that all institutions would work in close coordination to make this national event a grand success and ensure the best possible facilities and hospitality for visiting tourists.
