By promoting tourism and sports in Gilgit-Baltistan, the best image of the region will be highlighted in the whole world. Polo matches will be started very soon in Gilgit-Baltistan. Secretary Tourism, Culture & Sports 

A consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Tourism and Culture Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal to organize Jashan Baharan Polo Tournament 2024 on behalf of Gilgit Baltistan Government. Jashan Baharan Polo Tournament, schedule for practice matches, and preparation for Shandur Polo Tournament 2024 were discussed.

Detailed considerations were made regarding the establishment of matches and training camp for 2024. It was reiterated in the meeting that the Jashan Baharan Polo Tournament 2024 will be celebrated in a grand manner. On this occasion, Secretary Tourism, Culture and Sports Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal said that Jashan Biharan Polo Tournament is an event of great importance for the development and promotion of tourism and culture in Gilgit-Baltistan. Promotion of traditional free style polo match and other healthy activities in the region will highlight the image of Gilgit-Baltistan at the national and international level. Highlighting the importance of polo, he said that the polo game has an interesting and unique place here, so the government of Gilgit-Baltistan is going to start polo matches very soon for the promotion of polo.

The Secretary Tourism and Sports Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal also appreciated the efforts of the local administration, tourism department and all other stakeholders for the best suggestions and opinions given regarding the successful organization of the polo tournament. He further said that the provincial government will organize various events every year, which will promote tourism in the region and the government of Gilgit-Baltistan has always been trying to highlight the best image of the region across the globe by promoting tourism and sports in Gilgit-Baltistan.
